Envy seems to destroy the individual. Pride destroys on a grander scale.

I would say envy is worse for the soul, as nothing good ever comes from it.. Same is true with excesive pride either. I think it is good to show a some pride in yourself, just don't let it get out of hand. When you become egotistical, then its a problem.

They're both equally bad.
If you envy something you don't need, have the pride that convinces you that you do need it, and the will to get it, that's three strikes against you, all caused by your own soul/psyche.

PRIDE>> Hands down..
With pride. it clouds so many aspects of your life.. that you cant even see the trees from the woods..
you wont listen to reason nor will you ask for help when needed
Envy in my opinion can be worked thru.. you can reason thru it.. looking at what you have .. trying to emulate what others have..working on youself.. to get to the point thatyou wont have to envy anymore..
but PRIDE>> Is the quickest route to destruction.

They are equally bad - destructive, like every other negative emotion you can name (although there is the positive version of being proud of one's self for accomplishment, so I guess I could say envy is worse).

Pride.
Envy can be overcome, but pride is continually reinforced in this culture.
