Give yourself some time! You just got divorced after 27 years. Take some time out and don't rush into anything. This is a chance to try new things and get to really know yourself. Being on your own might be a good thing while you re access yourself. Try some things you didn't have a chance to do before. See how you cope on your own, you never know you might be in for a surprise. You will get confidence as you get to know and discover who you are, what you like and take time to adjust to your new situation. Go for walks, join a gym,try cooking, painting, see what grabs you. When you get comfortable with things you will get more confident in yourself. Take pride in yourself and get to know people. There is no rush to suddenly be a different person , that will come in time.In the meantime have fun with some new challenges and get happy with yourself. When you are happy and at peace with yourself you will attract likewise people. You will be a new you as long as you take time and are doing it for yourself and not out to prove anything to other people. Good luck!

27 yrs of marriage is a long time with one person and you have no doubt lost yourself in that world and now need to start a new life. Its a daunting prospect but you know what...you can do it. Accept, if you havent already, that all that is in the past now. She has her new life and you now need to get yours. So, first is the attitude. Be true to yourself and go out there, buy some nice new gear. Not too young looking but not the old you either. Get some advice from mens mags, shop stylists etc. Get a new hair cut, be more conscious about you. Then step out and meet friends for drinks etc. You'll begin to feel alot better if you start thinking about who you want to be. Stay blessed!!

Sorry about the turkish thing. :(
I can relate. I was married 20 years and found myself alone thinking what now?? This is a time for YOU now. You can do what you want, when you want. If you want to try a new style..go for it!
The important thing is to smile, count your blessings and enjoy your life! :)
I LOVE the line in your question "half fit" ..lol..At our age, half fit is all good..lol
Good luck! Be happy!

Personally, I would surround myself with supportive individuals, and enjoy my life. And I would try my best to understand that her leaving has more to do with her and less to do with you. What could she have been thinking? After 27years of marriage for man she doesn't know. I am sorry for you. That must hurt terribly, however, I would think she must be going through some form of mid life crisis. You don't stay with someone for 27years if you are not happy. Seems that she got complacent and went with the first man that said something nice to her. Wow. God bless****

The best revenge is living well. You sound like you still have a lot of life in you. Get out there and enjoy yourself!
As for your wife, lets hope she doesn't lose everything. It sounds like she has lost a lot already.
Wish you all the best! Have fun!!

Aloha! You should make yourself feel good for YOU. Get your image done the way you want, buy some new clothing, and definately get a fitness regimen going for yourself, it will make you feel wonderful and boost your confidence. Do not rush yourself into anything, just enjoy yourself for now. This is just my thoughts.....
