What things in the house could i get copper wire from and how?

what are you people talking about, im not stealing anything, i just need the copper wire now cause i want to built something called a homopolar motor, but theres a snowstorm and its night so i cant go to the store

any old appliance cord will contain copper. imsure you hav something old laying around that you can clip the cord and strip th insulation

Ha! Ha! Sorry, I think I've got to agree with this other guy about theft. Please consider my point: How are you going to design/build some fancy motor if you haven't the foggiest about the obvious places within the home that might contain basic copper wire?

And if that is the case, by telling you, you might end up electrocuting yourself!

try speaker wires or old extension cords things of that sort good luck and happy hunting
