Fruit is the worse answer because it makes you gain weight with the fructose sugars. Try having some raw vegetables, a can of tuna with some vegetables, protein shake, protein dessert, sugar free jelly, poporn wthout salt. a big glass of reduced fat milk.

I keep fuji apples and baby carrotts in my frig for that reason. Even though it may seem like a donut is sweeter, eating a sweet apple really works. And to have something crunchy I have the baby carrotts which are also sweet.

Dairy products, fat free dairy if you're weight conscious. Dairy products contain a slow digesting protein called casein, this slow source of protein trickling into your blood will help to prevent your body from breaking down your muscles while you sleep. Reminds me of my Dad telling me to drink my milk and get to bed...lol....thanks Dad. You want to take care of your muscles, muscles burn alot of calories even at rest, this is why your body will try to break them down. Trying to save energy. Look up "catabolic"

I usually have 250mls of skim milk and a 113 gram serving of fat free yogurt as my bedtime snack. 12 grams of muscle saving protein for 140 calories...0 calories from fat..and vitamins to boot...good deal. (you can burn off 140 calories in less than 2 hours while sleeping)

The best suggestion for food is brown rice,fruits,mushroom sup or corn.

i never get fat.
i can eat a cow before 9pm and still be a little toothpick...
i hate it... :( poopie...
but you can probably eat a granola bar.... maybe a fruit...

basic fruits. i like to have low fat cottage cheese with fresh peaches. mmm. plus, it satisfies my sweet tooth without having to eat a bunch of crappy processed foods.
