I'm visiting in LA for medical reasons and learned of having pre cancer. doctor referrals so far not working. I have a rare blood disease, post splenectomy low IgM, more often is associated with patients with sickle cell and both conditions carry stigma and misconceptions among doctors. Most hematologists have never heard of the condition, Immunologists do know, but rarely help due to lack of experience. CDC says my case should be reported to public health to access the CDC for referrals. No doctor will. No primary doctor for 6 years. any experts are far across the country and local doctors don't make out of town referrals. went out of state before and was treated like a con artist and did not get referred to expert. Finding temporary housing out of town is hard as well.
