I am limited to the amount of Sudafed I can buy at the drug store now.
I have to show my ID, and drivers license and it's logged into a central computer to make sure I don't go over my "limit" each month, or I am a suspected "drug dealer".

But Mexican drug dealers detained in the US are turned loose if they are caught with LESS than 500 pounds..Ya can't make this stuff up!I'm sure someone is in hot water for not paying the bribes on time.Should Mexico give us our money back???????????????????????

In the largest cash seizure in Mexican history, authorities confiscated $206 million in U.S. currency from a band of methamphetamine producers headquartered in a ritzy neighborhood here, officials said today.

Two of the seven people arrested at the home were Chinese, and authorities said the bust hinted at the vast scope of an illegal drug trade that links Mexico to Asia.

Mexican drug trafficking organizations have become increasing important in the wholesale and retail trade in methamphetamines in the United States because American authorities have placed tougher controls on the sale of the chemicals used to produce the highly addictive drug.

Mexico's attorney general's office said the December seizure in Lazaro Cardenas led authorities to a chemical company, Unimed Pharm Chem, based in the city of Toluca, about 50 miles west of Mexico City.

"The resulting investigation showed that this company illegally imported pseudoephedrine acetate from India," the attorney general's office said in a statement. "These chemicals are used to illegally produce methamphetamines."

Mexican police raided the home Thursday in Lomas de Chapultepec, a neighborhood home to some of this city's wealthiest residents and to many members of the diplomatic corps.

Officials said they worked past midnight to count the bills, which were hidden inside walls, suitcases and closets.

The cash seized was mostly in U.S. $100 bills and weighed at least 4,500 pounds. It was five times the amount seized in all of 2006 by Mexican authorities in anti-narcotic and money laundering operations.

your right. when i buy sudafed i have to go to the counter where they sell ciggs and ask for sudafed. i have to show an id also. to many people buying it to make drugs. our govt needs the border fence up to keep the drug traffickers out. America has enough problems. we don't need more illegal activity added to the problem.

Yeah, I read somewhere where a Mexican American grandmother who sold drugs was using discrimination as a defense in her arrest. She brought up the police policy in her town not to prosecute illegal aliens carrying less than 250 lbs, due to the cost of keeping them until trial, etc. She mentioned specific instances she knew of. She said that she was being discriminated against because she was a citizen.

I thought it was pretty funny.

I don't like having to get sudafed from behind a counter either, and when I asked for two boxes last time, I could swear they were sure I was mixing something up back home.

It's like a certain cable company I used to be hooked up with. After being a customer for 10+ years I get the most expensive of the deals but "new customers" get the same deal for 1/4 of the price. Same way here. Illegal immigrants have more rights here than the actual citizens.

when I go to the pharmacy to buy my stash I sign in to Big Brothers manifest with a word that has already gotten me ban from Yahoo. The word means a bundle of sticks. Perhaps my signature is to sloppy. Illegals have more rights than citzens.

Okay, sorry, I don't understand what the question is here. What money is it that you want back? The money that the drug dealers had? The bribe money? I really hate it when people just rant, it kind of wastes my reading time.
