Hi there! I was sorta skeptical about it working, but it does! I took my 8 1/2 month old daughter to my chiropracter, and they are so gentle. Teagan just loves it! Anyways, I didn't tell the chiropracter that she had an ear infection in her right ear as I wanted to see what she would find herself. As she felt up my daughters spine, she told me that her neck was out of place, and it was pulling her skull out on the right side as well. She asked me if Teagan had been pulling on her right ear or acting fussy or like they hurt. I then told her that we had just gone to the doc and he had told me she had an ear infection in her right ear.
So anyways, she fixed her up, and I swear, Teagan seemed like she felt MUCH better. No more fussing, and I didn't have to give her tylenol the rest of the day. By the next day, her ear infection was pretty much gone.
Also, try garlic oil in the ear. Just buy the capsules from your pharmacy, bite it open, pull the earlobe down and back, and squeeze the oil in there. You can put a little cotton ball in there too, so it won't leak. I do this now when I first notice Teagan acting like her ears bother her. There are no side effects (except your baby smells like an Italian restaurant for awhile) and it really does help! Good luck!

I was also a skeptic but chiropractic seems to do wonders for my son. For all that people say the surgery is simple and painless it's still plastic tubes in the ears. I would certainly suggest trying the chiropractor first. If it doesn't help it's only a few bucks lost and you won't be wondering later on "what if?" Good luck
I would look into some references and ask around because there are a few chiropractic cures everything Drs out there. Go for someone who seems real and reasonable.

I worked for a chiropractor for two years and she was one of those crazy ones that said you should never go to the dr. But, I do believe that chiropractors can definitly help with preventing ear infections. After one is infected, it may need antibiotics. It may even need a shot of them, I don't know what it's called. Let me tell you though, your life will be so much easier if you get tubes now than later. I work at a daycare in the infant room and nothing is more miserable than a child with perpetual ear infections. It is like night and day when they get them put in.
Hope you get some relief anyway it comes, but I would definitly consult a chiropractor. Some even adjust kids for free!

my daughter also has chronic ear infections. i have never heard about a chiropractor being able to cure it, i honestly dont think that they can, the problem is in the childs eustation tubes and a chiropractor cant really get to them. it it makes you feel any better, it only takes about 15 minutes to put the ear tubes in, the child will wake up and be fussy for a while because they dont know what just happened, but they dont even feel it. the tubes will fall out on their own in about a year. there are some risks, such as hearing damage, but that could also happen if you dont get them from constantly having ear infections. the other option that i have heard of is putting them on a constant but very light dose of antibiotic, my doc did not like this option, neither do i, but it is an option. i was like you at first, not wanting to get tubes in my daughters ears, but the fluid has been sitting in her ears for over 6 months now, and ear infections are just waiting to happen, so i decided to go thru with it.

I'm not sure about that but from experience I'd say you shouldn't wait too long to do something. My son had chronic ear infections and the last one took over a month of antibiotics to take care of. He had tubes put into his ears and so far has not had anymore problems. It was scary knowing he was going to have to be put under but the thought of him having hearing loss that could have been prevented made up my mind. Good luck! I hope your little one get's better soon!

My daughter has had tubes for over a year and they were the best choice for her. I personally don't see what a chiropractor can do for ear infections, but as far as the tubes go I am a firm believer in them. The doctor that put my daughter's tubes in even uses gas to sedate so the little one won't have to put under. Good Luck with whatever you decide.

my cousin and my little bro both had tubes and they arent as bad as they may sound plus they save your child a lot of pain from not getting chrinic ear infections i would not ever dream of taking a child to a chiropractor go with the tubes if need be too many ear infections or even one really bad one can have long term effects on their hearing

I'd definatelty try a chiro. I haven't needed to take my girls, but I know several parents who have. The chronic ear infections have disappeared.
