You cannot deduct the value of your time or services, but you can deduct the actual costs of gas & oil involved in commuting to the place you do your volunteer work. Or you can deduct 14 cents per mile for commuting.

Time volunteered to charitable organizations is not tax deductible. Only actual donations of property or cash or any expenses you pay for out of your pocket can be deducted. Mileage may be deducted, but you have to keep very detailed records or risk having it disallowed.
