Even if that were true, so what? What about distribution and marketing costs? They're probably both more than the contents of the carton.

If it bothers you, just by an orange and squeeze it by hand.

By the way, the home you live in is worth more than the cost the materials it was built with!

I would think that would depend on the brand of the carton. I only pay $1 for 64 ounce carton of orange juice.

This is the case with a lot of packaging, which is why people are constantly changing packaging to make it cheaper to produce

I don't 'know this' but it wouldn't surprise me. Packaging can get expensive as does transportation to vendors etc.
