I didn't have the best experience today at a planned parenthood center. (i was trying to get birth control) Lets just say i think I am pregnant and they are trying to get me to take plan B....and I dont wanna, but they wouldn't give me birth control unless i was willing to take plan b.Has anyone else had bad experiences or heard anything bad?

I have taken a test....three to be exact. I think it may be to early. the first one came out positive and the next two were negative. They told me I could quick start levlen and take another test on the 26th. Plan b is used to prevent an unplanned pregnancy, it will not work if you’re already pregnant. If you take Plan B® and are already pregnant, it will not affect your existing pregnancy.

If I were you I wouldn't take any of their advice just yet. It doesn't sound "right". Make an app. with an OBGYN. I'm sure there are qualified individuals at planned parenting for counseling people in making decisions regarding what kind of birth control is right for them, but you need to talk to a doctor. Don't take any meds. until you are sure your not pregnant. It sounds like they may be assuming you aren't pregnant. Wait a little longer, maybe another week to take another test. In the mean time use another form of birth control. Good luck.

They should give you a pregnancy test before giving you birth control pills. They can't make you take plan B. They do have the right to make you take pregnancy test, taking BCP while pregnant could have negative effects on developing baby which would make them liable in a lawsuit. I am confused. If you are pregnant, and you don't want to take plan B, that means there would be no need to take BCP either, right?? If not pregnant, no need for you to take plan B. Alert the media!!

You really need to be taking a pregnancy test. They should of gave you one there. My daughter goes to PPH, and it has always been very good in our area. You sure don't want to be taking BC pills if you are pregnant, they could be harmful to the fetus. I am not understanding what the plan b is. You don't have to do anything that you don't want to do. Maybe next time you should take your mom with you if that is possible. I have gone with my daughter, just because so I know what is going on. Good Luck to you.

my advice to you is to make sure wether your pregnant or not before you even try to get birth control. as far as taking plan b just to get birth control when there is a possibility of pregnancy those people are out of ther d*mn minds. alot of those planned parenthood places don't give a crap anyways to them your'e just another state case. i know a regular doctor cost more but they are well worth it! you are paying a regular doctor to take care of you so thats what they will do as far as the other places you are paying little to no money so your'e not gonna get great care! believe me i'm a doctor, i've seen it several times!

Eh i HATE planned parenthood. My friend went their to get a blood test becuase she thought she was pregnant. She already had 3 kids, she's 28. The woman asked her if she really needed this new child and told her maybe she should consider abortion. How rude! Also, my husband told me that when his ex went and to planned parenthood when she was pregnant with his child they briefly told her about adoption and being a parent, but elaborated on abortion, so of course she opted to abort. My husband broke up with her for it. I think PPH is a horrible place in general.

Every experience I've had at planned parenthood has been good. No one I know has had a bad experience there. I think it's just like any other palce you go to, if the staff member who takes care of you is having a bad day you're going to have a bad experience.

If everything your saying is correct than there out of there mind plan B from what I was told is used 24-48 hours after you've had unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. If your pregnant than it's too late to use it.

I dont know what plan B is, but I have had great experiences there. I get my birth control there for half the price I pay anywhere else.

Well, if you're pregnant why would you need birth control? Maybe they didn't understand what you were saying. Cause I don't.
