Not unless he is in tremendous pain and has no vibe for life.By the sound of it he still has some life in him yes he is a bit slower but he is 14!My grandparents had there dog from a pup and he live to be 17-all he ate was people food and developed tumours and arthritis and went deaf and blind before his time.My point is they didn't put him down just for these reasons he-went on his own and was happy until his last days so depending on how your animals quality of life is-i would say no.

If you feel he still enjoys life, then no. If you feel each day is a task for him to live or he is in pain, then yes. You know your dog best and only you can make this decision.

It’s normal for all living things to slow down in old age. If he’s still chasing squirrels, even if it’s a bit slower, then it sounds like he’s still got some living to do.

he's seems to be taking it all well right now. I'd put it off until he really needs it. look for signs of the tumors getting in the lungs. with my dog, it was coughing if she barked allot or ran allot. sorry to hear of the dogs poor health. my heart goes out to you & your ill dog. :(

well it depends on what kind of tumors they re. If he isn't being affected by them then it's fine. When it gets to the point where being a dog is difficult for him i would definately suggest you do so

Talk to your vet. I have always had dogs. When they got older, the deciding factor for me as to when to put them to sleep was if they were in pain or suffering.

Good luck with your decision. It is always a tough decision to put a pet to sleep.

If his quality of life isn't being drastically affected, then there is no need to put him down. Once he starts having difficulties in daily tasks, this is when you should start to consider euthanasia.

I wouldn't until he is showing you that he is in alot of pain and his life is miserable. It's the quality of his life that matters most and it sounds to me like he's still doing good, so why shorten his life? God bless you and your dog!

No, don't. If I were you I would try to let my dog have a long, and good last days. Try to give him alot more attentions and toys.
