Today everything owned by Microsoft seems to have ground to a halt. Normally I don't ask questions but this is beyond my Internet knowledge.

Internet Explorer seven refuses to connect to the Internet yet Firefox is working fine
Windows Live mail has been blocked
I can not log onto Msn Live
My Media Player version 11 crashes before I can click on music to play it.

I am in the process of downloading the whole lot again, but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone else got some ideas:

For general reference I have Xp home S.P 2
I have scanned for virus, spyware and adware

So what is happening, it is only Microsoft applications.

Well, I may be able to help you with your question. You see, for time, now, there have been a problem with Microsoft Products not working correctly, or being buggy - it does not just happen to Windows Vista. When the release of Windows Vista came out, it left a "Permanent" impression on me that they have cared so much about that product, that they have left no regard for things such Windows Media Player 11, or Microsoft Messenger. When things like this happen, measures have been failed to be accounted for, and some flaws have been easily revealed - where is people's aid? Nowhere! Because, this is not only just an explanation, it is in fact the sad truth of the ol' "What comes around, Goes around" saying. This is put into context. For example, I remember the release of the new Microsoft Office 2007 - when I went to go look for thing about Microsoft Office 2003 (Such as news, updates, downloads, etc. . . ) there was not really much, but when I went back to the main Microsoft Office homepage, it was infested with the facts, and ego's of Microsoft Office 2007! Even though, it is made for Windows Vista (Works best with Windows Vista), and does not work with Microsoft Office 2003! That is why the quality of Microsoft products have been slowly. . . . but steadily. . . . declining. As for things as far technical problems, you will have to go to: http://www.support.microsoft.com
