The meaning of life is NOT to die! Where on Earth do you live?! I mean, if the meaning of life were to die, would we give our 16 year olds cars to drive? Would we let our 18 year olds go off and shoot up a storm overseas? I mean, really. Would we let our high schoolers experience absinthe and jello shots on any weekend except for St. Pat's Day? I THINK NOT! We love life so much that these things never happen! Good God! "The meaning of life is to die?" What kind of an idiot are you? It isn't like we're living in constant fear because of terrorists or the prospect of an impending nuclear war. God! Grow a brain!
For Easter we have scrambled plastic Easter eggs fresh from Wal-Mart, a broiled Easter bunny which we will purchase from CVS on Good Friday, and cook that subsequent Saturday, with peeps as a side dish, and for dessert, we will serve up Peter Cottontail and his friends dipped in fake pseudo-chocolate, ready to eat from Publix. Bon Appétit!
Of course, as everyone knows, Easter is just about hunting for those dollar tree/walmart eggs underneath your mother's car and bitting the ears off that Palmer® bunny like a sick, twisted pseudo-cannibal, only to be fascinated by the hollowness of the bunny itself.
God, I love Easter!

The question that we need to answer is, "What are we really here for?" If we can answer this one simple question, we will hold the key to the meaning of life, of existence. We will find God and everything else that we desire. At this juncture this may seem like a tall claim to some. But understand that the first part of this search is the jump that we have to take. It is only when the seed gets into the ground that there is a possibility of growth. That is what we are talking about here - getting into the ground.
We are all seeds. There is a seed of divinity within us all, only it hasn't sprouted yet. So we ask it to sprout, we give it a chance to sprout, by asking ourselves this question first and foremost - "Why are we here?" This entire existence is only to understand that. An entire existence is very vast. Many many lifetimes, many of which we are not even aware of today, all for just one purpose - to understand what we are doing here.
There are other questions, which go along with this - "Where have we come from? Where are we going to after this? How long have we been doing this? And, how long are we going to continue doing this?" These are all related questions. This is the kindergarten level when you start your spiritual quest. But this is where we all start out from because you can't skip kindergarten. You have to rise step-by-step. You have to open your understanding to progress.
Another few questions that we must all ask ourselves are, "Why do we need God?" "Why are we not fulfilled just as we are?" "?No matter where we will be, no matter what we may be doing, no matter how old or how fit, no matter how happy or unhappy we may be at this moment, why can't we just let the struggle go and be totally happy?" "Why do we need to find some meaning?" After all, animals don't need to find a meaning. Trees don't need to find a meaning. The oceans, the rivers and the mountains don't have a need to find meaning.
Then why do we? Why do we need God in the first place? Nobody has seen him, nobody has met him, he doesn't have a fixed address and still we are searching for him everywhere. Isn't that the irony of life? Something which people say is nowhere to be found, and we search for it everywhere. Yet, why can't we give up this search? Why do we feel unfulfilled without it? hy can't we be complete, just as we are today, in this moment? You have all realised, that even after having a family, even after attaining maturity, even after having fun and games, even after having enjoyed pleasurable moments, even after having pains and disappointments, even after having wealth or poverty, you are still incomplete. This is the truth we all carry within ourselves. We may try and fool ourselves saying that we are complete in the moment, but we know we really cannot say that forever.
We can only say it in a certain period of time. When circumstances change, environment's change, people around us change, even this speck of truth changes for us. It is not an ultimate Truth. It is not changeless, it is not eternal. That is why all the time we seek something which is permanent, which does not change, which we can keep with ourselves always regardless of where we may be, what we may be doing. And this whole search is the search for one's own inner self.

Is your cup half full or half empty??? On the one hand, the instant we are created, we begin the process toward dying.
On the other hand, it is what we do in between that matters - not the start or the finish.
