Please help me with my GPA my grades are 5 A's and one A-
are scale is an a is a 4.0 and an A- is a 3.666
please help me find it out so i know what my GPA will be on my report card since the 9 weeks grading period is over and they come out on monday!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

so, we add it all up to get 23.66 and we divide by 6 (the six grades) and get 3.94

To figure this out:
1) if you have Windows, go to start (in the lower left corner of the screen), go to programs (or All Programs on later versions) click on Accessories and then click on calculator.
2) your GPA is the sum of your grades based on your scale (A=4.0 and A-=3.666) or 23.666 (5 x 4 + 3.666, where 5 is the number of grades you have equal to a 4.0 and 3.666 is the one A- you have), then divide that by the total amount of grades you have (6 total).

5 A's at 4 points is 20 and 1 A- is 3.666 for a total of 23.666 averaged over 6 classes or 3.94
You say your a good student but could not do simple math. It makes a poor statement about the education of today's youth.

Your GPA(Grade Point Average)is 3.6 it's a bit better than a "B +". You figure a 4.0 is Straight A Average.

well .. you would add all your grades up :
A- 4 B-3 C-2 D-1
and divide it by how many classes you have ...
you still have a GPA higher than an A- ... that's really good ! congrats !
