Well, I think people -- whether Christian or not -- are simply humans. Christians are often expected to be somewhat perfect and not make mistakes. However, it's the "Christians" who get the bad rap. I rarely see or hear anyone say, "Why do Catholics act a certain way or Muslim or whatever..." And, we have to consider, that those claiming to be Christians aren't really living and Christ-like life therefore they are poor representatives. It's those who are quiet about their faith and living a lifestyle that's righteous who are more likely the devote Christians.

Because most people that lable themselves as Christians don't actually read the bible or go to chuch. I had a friend who thought he was better than everyone else because his chuch told him so. A true Christian does not allow evil or hate into their hearts, yet most of the people on this site will tell you to go to hell for asking a legitimate "God" question. Sorry to all the religious folk who can't tolerate someone asking a question so they can be better informed. Instead of speading the word of the Lord and whatnot, they make me want to stop believing all together. Christianity is certainly not what it used to be.

The best answer I can come up with is this: Before I gave my life to the Lord, I called myself a Christian. Which means, I wasn't really a Christian. I was told by PEOPLE "hey if you LOVE Jesus, you a christian". But JESUS saids in his Word, "if you OBEY me......." So obviously "Christians" that don't 'act' like Christians are either: 1. NOT 2. Wolves in sheep clothing or 3. Decieved/in darkness (& need to be brought to the light).

I honestly don't know, but you're right. Everyone needs to back off on the offensive questions, and actually try to learn something! (Because for some reason everyone has all the misconceptions about other faiths) Seriously. I mean, I've had people post answers that are horrible and offensive after I ask a question.Oh well. Maybe a few more people will wise up after you mention this!

We ALL fall short from the glory of God. We do not get saved because we have it all figured out or we are good, we get saved because the mercy and grace of God. We want to be saved, and we need Jesus for that. : )
We are also in different levels of maturity with our Christian walk. It is easy for people to criticize others, it is the easiest job. I see a lot of people criticizing Christians, and they even do not try to live like Christians.

Fake christians use the bible as the word of god true christians follow the word of Jesus. Jesus hated the church so all church people are actually in league with the devil but they are to thick to understand this. Many of todays problems are from evil people claiming to follow christ. I know that jesus is not anti gay he never mentions it so only a real bastard would spread hate in Gods name. I also as a man of understanding realise that many of Americas religious groups are pure evil and when they are judged they will have a lot of explaining to do.

I would think that at least 1/2 the questions on here are from non-christians....
but even those that ARE from Christians.... only about 1/3 of those questions are even remotely dusted with any of the fruits of the Spirit ...you know, those very things that we have in us when we are truly Christians... Love, Joy, Peace... Patience Kindness Goodness Faithfulness Gentleness... oh, and dont forget this one SELF CONTROL!
but you need to remember that not all who claim to be Christians do anything but attend their 'club meeting' each weekend... the rest of the days they act like they don't have to follow Christ... so their language isnt glorifying to God perhaps... or their focus isnt on furthering God's kingdom on earth.. but on chastizing anyone who doesnt think like them...

because alot of them are not christians at all as they thought or they have stryaed away from the path of righteousness. I was actually shocked to see a so called self-proclaimed Christian support homosexuality when it clearly goes against the Bible. Also some want to be accepted and do not want negative attention shifted to them.

I suppose the same thing could be said of some atheists who claim to be tolerant and yet who have no compunctions about attacking Christianity every chance they get.
It's not right when either side gets vicious and nasty toward the other one. If you have to resort to threats of hellfire (Christians versus atheists) or blaspheming Christ (atheists versus Christians), you have already shot your own cause in the foot as far as I'm concerned.

I think its somewhat because its like a chat forum and the person cant be seen writing. They might feel they can write whatever they want. Most of the people probably aren't christian, or religious for that matter
