need to know how this is done. i have books i want to scan to a cd-or dvd

the binder would alow light to come into the scanner right? sounds hard to do without missing something out of the book, or looking sloppy? any orthers ideas?

I think the easiest way is to use Adobe Acrobat (not adobe reader, you need the full version of adobe to do this) to scan your document. It allows you to scan several pages in the same document and keep it in a PDF format.
Start the adobe acrobat and select "create document" and then "from the scaner". Then selec the choice "digitalize"
The program will help you to scan page by page. Once you have finished, you can save the document as a PDF in your hard drive.
The next step is to save the file on a CD or DVD using a burner program.

ok here how you scan it and save it ...

Step one start with hte page you want . place book in scanner on that page close scanner lid
the use software you use to scan item with to scan image
Save the image into a folder on your hard drive as jpeg/ bmps picture file format.
After you have scanned whole book then place next book in it folder as well from it scans. then burn then to cd /dvd
