We have an abandoned hazelnut tree grove not far fron our home. A couple of years ago there were a couple of fellows gathering the catkins from the trees. I asked them what they were doing with them and they said that they were selling. Do you have any idea who would buy them or what they would be used for?

They make good animal feed, especially for turkeys and chickens.

Possible use in dying cloth or medicine which goes back to the indians.
