Whatever! I'm not jealous of Americans. I have a lot of "white" American friends and I love and appreciate them, but I'm not jealous of them.

I wouldn't call it jealousy, but try to really truly put yourself in their shoes. Imagine that your born into a poor family and you sometimes go without eating for days. It's hard to find a job and your government doesn't seem to care much about you. Your neighbors in the north are shown as being rich, driving cars, always having jobs that pay well, having houses, and being able to buy food and clothes. Granted we have our fair share of poverty here, but I think that most people who don't live here don't know much about the Americans living in poverty. If you had that life wouldn't you want a better one? What if someone you love got sick? Wouldn't you do anything to be able to pay for their medical care? To know that they could eat everyday?

Maybe resentful is a better description than jealous. It is obvious that even as they come north over our border and become parasites of the American heritage, they constantly call us racists, jingoists, and anything else they can use to stir up their advocacy groups like La Raza. They also talk about how proud they are of where they come from. Their actions betray their words; they can't seem to leave Mexico for America fast enough.
They're resentful because their country is perpetually poor and corrupt, while ours is productive and prosperous. I could do without 'em.

Well.. we have it better in America. We make more money here and probably have more rights then some of them. We have more chances then they do at somethings (better education, jobs. etc.) I wouldn't say they were jealous though.

With the huge influx of illegals heading NORTH (not south) across the US-Mexican border, who in their right mind could possibly think that Mexicans are not jealous of us and what we have?
As to specifically why, I can't answer that.

All a question like that does is breed resentment. I'm an American, and I don't like those kind of questions. Sorry.

Jajajaja. Who said that? We're very proud of who we are and where we're from. I think you have been misinformed.
---DO YOU GUYS NOTICE HOW MANY OF THE ONES THAT ARE SUPPOSEDLY ANSWERING WHY WE ARE 'SO JEALOUS' OF AMERICANS ARE ACTUALLY...AMERICANS??
And what do you mean jealous of Americans?? Not every American is the same. Do you mean government-wise? Be more specific. I mean I'll admit Mexico's government is corrupt, so are you comparing that? I just know that I (as well as every other Mexican I know) am very proud of being Mexican and I would never change that. America is a great country, Americans are great people, but I'm proud of what I am and I have no reason to be jealous of anybody because I wouldn't like to be anything else. Be proud of who you are, nobody has reason to be jealous of anybody else. If you mean governemnt-wise, or society-wise or anything else, well then state it. Because many people aren't understanding that and take every chance possible to bash on Mexicans.
