It's not even possible for me to hate people I do know, but it is possible for me to despise what they stand for.
I don't see how it is possible to love someone I don't know, except in the somewhat impersonal sense of loving people in general.

I have loved many people that I don't know - by giving thousands of dollars to promote the spread of the Gospel into places where it has never been preached before. Helping someone find forgiveness of sins and escape the wrath of God is the most loving thing I can think of.

Yes it is possible.I guess its a part of human nature as we all are guilty of this.Sometimes we judge persons on their appearance or our first encounter with them-either love (which some may argue is either inflatuation or lust)or hate.Just seeing someone for the !st may spark off the emotions in question

love and hate are such strong words. to say you hate or love someone or something requires taking the time to get to know everything there is to know about him/her or it. have you ever seen someone in a large social situation and just by their manorisms or behavior decided that you love them or hate them before you have had the chance to talk to them? and then you have the chance to talk with them and discover that your initial impression was not at all what that person is really like?

You have to know them to some extent or you wouldn't know they existed. Anyway, hating or loving something you don't know is more than likely that you don't like or like the person's character, not the person.

No. You can like or dislike a people group based on past experience with representatives of that group, but to love or hate someone, you need to know them.

if u don't know the person..u can hate things or love things that you have heard about them...but it really takes getting to know that person to be able to tell for real.

I did not learn to not to negatively discriminate against people from Love... But, from "Hate"... I hated everyone equally. I hated people, God if there were a God and God's side kick, Satan if there were one and of course myself. Now a day... God and Love are cool!

Yes by judging their actions. You don't need to know them, just know what actions they've made. It's bias of course, but it's possible.
