A few days out of date, No! three weeks, maybe!!!!!

The first thing that will happen is that they will not taste as good as fresh (going to stale). The next thing that will happen will be most likely a mold will grow on the outer donut-that is a good time to dump it. Getting food poisoning would be low.

after food becomes out of date, it begins to grow harmful pathagins...which cause food poisoning...it would really depend on how out of date the food is, a few days won't hurt anything, longer will.

of course - but it depends where they've been kept, at what temperature, how out of date they are etc.. they're not likely to give you food poisoning if they've been in a cool place for a couple of days past their best before date.

as long as it has no penicillin growing on them you should be ok.
