What a lot of people don't understand is that even white sugar is "natural" as it comes either from cane, corn, beets etc... and nutrutionally it is all really the same as "raw" or "unrefined".... the only difference is possibly honey, which has been shown to have antibiotic properties. And if you look at most "brown sugar" packages, the ingredients are white sugar and molassass.
I can't believe it took me another 2 days to come up with this... you can also use concentrated fruit juice to sweeten different foods. If you look at the ingredients on some things you will see they are sweetened with grape juice concentrate... you can get it in the frozen juice section of the grocery store.

I used to use A LOT of sugar, but I've just stopped using sweetener in anything and now, I don't need it. I've stopped using salt too. It's amazing how your taste buds change when you don't give in to the cravings.

Some people use honey. I use maple syrup on my oatmeal, but just go without sweetner for everything else.
