Can you drive a big rig or do you have any skills in a trade, you can join KBR, there are many spots open, just send your application, Only way you can call yourself a mercenary without military experience. Your free to leave when ever you want, just stay a week and you will reconsider. Great pay, six figures if you survive. A really challenge, being unharmed in a war zone and always looking over your back for snipers, suicide bombers and extremists who will cut your head off if they catch you.

If you are so concerned about the moral implications of fighting in, say, Iraq because you don't agree with the politics of the war, I'd say you have your priorities backwards...
I can't think of a more morally bankrupt profession than joining one of these so-called "independent defense contractors" - whom we all know to be mercenaries in reality, no matter what pretty sounding name we give them...
In my opinion, it is the increased presence of these mercenaries in Iraq which has irreparably compromised our strategic mission in that country. If it wasn't for all these trigger-happy, roid-rage yahoos out there shooting up the country, the Iraqi insurgency wouldn't be nearly as strong as it is today...

Join the French Foreign Legion. They're as tough as any fighting force and you can get a new Identity. After your 5 years of commitment are over, check out Black Water. They do contract security work world wide. Most are ex Green Berets, SEALs and other Special Ops guys. Learn French, Spanish, and one other language other than your first one. Get in excellent physical condition, i.e., be able to run 5 miles in clothes and boots PDQ, be able to swim a mile in cold water in clothes, carry a 40 pound ruck everywhere you go, do 300 push_ups, set-ups and pull-ups every day with the ruck. The FL training is tough and you won't make it if you're not in top shape and speak French. Study different military weapons, how they're used and the effective ranges. Study how snipers function and learn to shoot both left and right handed with both pistols and rifles.Study SCUBA and get qualified if you can. Study Jungle, Desert, and Cold Weather survival, and improvised weapons and explosives. Study hand to hand combat techniques. Take all of the above very very serious as your life and the lives of others will depend on how good you are. Take at least a year, maybe two to accomplish the above studies.

Well see there really isnt a mercenary school. I guess you could try one of the peoples militias in the US. If it were me I'd join one of the military services go for infantry or military police, work your way through to elite forces. Serve out your contract and save up enough money to go outside of the US, at this point I wouldnt be in a position to tell about where to go because you'd be working off connections that you make with people. Oh and always always stay humble and listen because theres always something to learn.

You don't want to fight for your country"s political views, huh? I would be willing to bet you are too cowardly to defend your own home from an invasion of robbers or burglers. That is the reason we are where we are. You remember 9,11,2001? We were attacked!!! Mercenary, yea right! You can't fight for the freedoms you hold but ya want to fight for a dictator who controls everything!
