I met this great guy through a friend that thinks I'm beautiful and funny. He's so nice and he loves my son and his kids are great as well. The only thing is that I'm not sure if I like him or not. I mean, yeah he's fun to hang out with and all, but I'm not physically attracted to him. It's been over a year since I've been with anyone because I was pregnant and then was dealing with a baby on my own, so I'm not sure if I'm just being weird. Anyway, how do I tell him that I think we should just be friends even though I'm flattered that he likes me?

Tell him in plain English how you feel and why you feel that way.
If he is a gentleman, he will understand. It does not have to be so complicated. Men are people too.

well may be u should jus be honest dont string him long it will jus make things worse. maybe u can still chill out but its best he finds out from u then some other person i,e the friend. he probably already knows guys pick up on stuff like that he jus waiting for u to come clean who knows. anyway be nice when u tell him u wouldn;t want anyone with news like that saying hurtful things to u right?

Just tell him you're not ready for a serious relationship right now because you're still healing from your past.
Tell him that you'd like to reflect on the world for the time being.

remember looks are not everything. do you enjoy this mans company? do your kids and his get along? do you make each other laugh? if your answer is yes to all the above dont blow this man off yet. have a few evenings together. allow yourself to relax and see what happens. no pressure either way then and no awkwardness.

don't worry. if you don't like the guy then just tell him that you need to talk....alone. tell him how you feel. if he really likes you then he'll understand. trust me. if he can understand that you don't have deep feelings for him then he's a reall gentalmen, and will be a great friend.
