There are four 11mm or 7/16" nuts in the trunk that secure the tailight housing to the body. Once removed, grasp and turn the bulb & connector socket about a 1/4 turn and pull outward. Replace with any standard 3157 bulb. Hope this helps.

Are you mechanically inclined?
If yes and all you need to do is replace the bulbs, it is super simple.
You DON'T need to be overcharged for this, you can do it yourself!
I used to call my friend (a mechanic) and if he asked me for anything less than $50 for a job, I could usually do it myself with a few directions from him.
(I changed the radiator fan on my Olds with his directions)
First, go to your local car parts store (Pep boys, R & S Strauss or Auto Zone, etc.)
Tell them your year, make and model and they can give you the correct bulb for the car.
Open the trunk of your car and look for the tabs on your trunk liner (3 or 4 knobs about the size of a quarter, usually near the corners of the liner section), those turn and allow the liner to be lifted out easily.
Once you remove the liner, you'll see the light fixtures.
Each one has about 4 -6 bolts bolts visible (been awhile since I replaced my Taurus with my Trail Blazer, so I can't remember exactly)
When you remove the bolts, the entire fixture will come out easily and you can unplug and replace the bulb.
Simply reinstall in reverse order.
BTW, I like to have a small container handy where I place the bolts as I remove them, so that I don't lose them by accident.

Go in through the trunk. Pull back the flooring and remove the nuts that hold the assembly in. Replace the bulbs and check it out to be sure they work and then put it back together.

you can always goto a local auto parts store and purchase a haynes manual or something similar to give you instructions on how to do it...going to a mechanic or dealership to replace a $2 bulb is just stupid because they will charge you around $40 to do it. another thing is you can always goto autozone and they should be able to install it or show you how to
