I can remember roller skates that you slid to fit your shoe.. and you used a key. the top still tied some.

LOL! I remember when the skates WERE shoes or boots with wooden wheels attached!

We used to wear our leather 'school shoes' with our skates, which upset Mom NO END!!!

uh, in 1961 there were screw like thingy's that you clamped to your shoes.? LOL, I hadn't thought about that in awhile! I hated them because they always fit so funky.
