Looking for moisturizing lotion and a leave-in treatment for ethnic hair (mixed hair to be exact). If you have this type of hair what do you use??? Im tired to wasting money on products that don't work for me. I have curly/wavy hair that is dry and thirsty and needs to be TAMED! And to stay that way so I do not have to re-apply every hour.

I posted an answer to a similiar question yesterday for someone else..I added a few *tweaks* to my post for ya..I really love my new KeraCare conditioning creme hairdress..Although it costs more than some, I've been experimenting with hair products for 20 years...I've got lots of failures behind me but this stuff makes my hair feel really silky...LOVE..LOVE...LOVE it..I have that Latina mixed type hair, not the Castillian kind...Here's my earlier post..

KeraCare products are really good. I use it on my hair (Latina) and my two daughters (racially mixed with African American and one of which has a relaxer). We basically have 3 different hair textures and KeraCare is the best I've used. I recently tried the Conditioning Creme Hairdress (8oz for $17.00) and I love it! We use KeraCare shampoo and conditioner most of the time (Humecto Creme Conditioner, specifically,$13) but Pantene Pro V shampoo also works well with KeraCare conditioner. Dudley also makes some good products (they are a little bit cheaper than KeraCare but I just don't like the smell of some of them. If you flat iron your hair or use a comb attachment for your hairdryer, use some Dudley Creme Press if your hair is still a bit frizzy after blowing it out (pressing oil, about $8 and doesn't have much of a scent). Many girls now use this pressing oil on hair that is being flat ironed or curled, not just straight combed. I have been such a product junkie over the years so I've tried tons of hair supplies and I find these work the best for my family, especially since we all have 3 different grades of hair and I've been happy with the results. Mizani is also a great product (it is expensive too unfortunately). Their hairspray doesn't get hard and leaves no flakes behind. Their Silk Finishing Gel is really nice, it's $12 and doesn't get hard like conventional gels, it is silky but lays the hair down.. KeraCare also has a leave in hair conditioner..Mizani also...
