If they're backed up with sources, they are more credible. I will believe answers given by people who act mature, and give their answer in a mature, non hostile format.

Why wouldn't I believe that most people are expressing their honest opinions and giving as good an answer as they possibly can? I have no reason to think that they are deliberately lying to me or that they're not presenting the facts as they believe them to be.
That's not the same thing as taking everyone's answers at face-value. People may be sincere, but still mistaken, biased, or confused about something.
So long answer short: yes, there are many answers that I believe, some that I accept as a personal opinion, and a few that are off track.

If I were to ask a question I would treat it as I would Wikipedia. Legitimate for things where the answer doesn't matter too much. For things that matter, I'd use it as something to give me an idea of where to start.

I answer here because I like to share knowledge. I don't link, but then if I have to link, I will always reference Wikipedia.

I don't believe any of the answers here supporting creationism because none of them are backed up with any real evidence.
It's the same with any other answer. If it doesn't make logical sense or is not backed up by evidence, then I don't believe it.

Religion-wise, you won't be able to change anyone's opinions on here, no. However in lots of other respects and subjects, maybe you can persuade other people.
