Some people do thank the chef, ever heard "compliments to the chef". Also, some people do thank human resources people, and thank all the people that help them. Some people even give tips for those who wait on them at food places. However, God gave the chef his ability to cook, the human resources person to know what to pay to whom, the waiter to remember what you ordered and serve you. Last time I checked, thanking God was a positive thing. You are just a negative person who can't stand to see people have something that you don't; faith, hope, and love in God. You can have all those things, and God already loves you. Stop being angry at people who have God in their lives, and let God come into yours. God bless.

do you know what they said in the prayer? were you so close that you heard every word? or do you assume you know what was said? when thanking god for the food upon the table many also thank him for those that have prepared it, grew it, or had anything to do with it. odds are they thanked him for the day as well. most likely they prayed for the well being of the earth and for the safety of our military. so you see, you shouldn't assume what they were saying. they may very well have been praying for you. god bless.

God bless you for asking. Sincere or not. As a Christian I bless my food for several reasons:
to thank God for providing it,
to purify and santify it, (part of the blessing is actually blessing the food itself, that it will be, "nourising to my body for Christ's sake." Meaning so that it will strengthen and not harm me, so I can live a life to glorify God,)
and I also include a blessing for the one who prepared it.
As for the paycheck, I thank God for that too. Not when I eat, but everyday. He provides for me by enabling me to find work, giving me favor at work *which one needs these days* and keeping me at work. I thank God all the day long.
Choose ye this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

My family gives thanks to God for every meal, and also gives thanks to the person who prepared it, either me, my husband, or my oldest son. Or the server who delivers it to our table in a restaurant.
I don't know many people out there who assume the food arrives on the table miraculously and ignore the human side of things.
As to thanking human resources for the paycheck, a paycheck is human resources thanking YOU for the hard work you put in every week. It is something you earn, not something they give you out of the goodness of their hearts. Do you thank your landlord for the apartment you rent? He's the one should thank you for the rent you pay.

god created the heavens & earth, dark& light, water & the rain, which helps fruits & veggies to grow, then god made men and women which he know, what you would be before you were born, then he gave you protential to do what ever in life you were to do if you chose the right path, the aminals who he feed before man was thought of. everthing god made was pure clean and without mans interferance. but now our food has been prossed with a lot of chemicals, they are cloning things and half the time you don't know what your eating or what the cook did to it before it hit your table, so we thank good for all that he provided us with and for thanking god to take out what ever man did to our food before it hit our table so the chemicals or dirt or rat poop that night be on it if he droped it on the floor doesn't kill us or make us sick. so thank god for what he has provided to us. because you never know what the fda might recall but with god and prayer you never get a recall or a expiration date, just eternial life.

No. God created us all. Thank god for your meals... God is everything... God is love... Always thank God for the good things you have in life. Why thank the cook? I mean, they did have to pay for it... When you're at home or somewhere and someone serves you a meal, for free, sure, people always thank them then...

you are right to a point. without praying to Jehovah God and Jesus Christ, the cook in the kitchen would not have food to cook for the family, without Jehovah and Jesus Christ there would never be a job to go to, to get a paycheck. so we pray many times to Jehovah and Jesus, if we are eating or not.

I'm sure they thanked all individuals they came in contact with..waitress, etc.
Thanking God is also their choice.
I don't think anyone is limited in how many times they can thank someone. Do you have a limit or something?
they didn't make you join in their prayer, so what's the problem?
