No. The egg will be a different color based on the chicken hatching it. There will be no further difference between white and brown, than there is between different breeds of chickens that are both white or both brown.

If your palate is so refined that you can distinguish between breeds, I'd like to try you out on individual chickens next!

White eggs and brown eggs come from different breeds of chickens. White egg layers are usually hens with white earlobes, such as the Leghorn, and brown egg layers are usually hens with red earlobes, such as the Rhode Island Red, the New Hampshire Red and the Plymouth Rock.

Brown eggs tend to be more expensive because the hens that lay them are larger birds; therefore, they eat more food--with the cost being passed on to you. There is no nutritional difference between brown and white eggs, although some people claim that brown eggs taste better.

They both have the same taste.

I watched a show called the "Shopping Bags" and they test all different products. They said there is absolutely NO taste difference between brown and white eggs and brown eggs certainly should not cost any more.

There is absolutely no difference in the nutritional value of either a white egg or a brown one. A brown egg has been laid by a red hen. Unless you have free range chickens, then the yolks have a stronger flavour as they are always a deeper orange colour. And then, of course, you have the Omega 3 eggs, but again, no flavour difference there. White eggs are laid by white hens.

Nope... no taste. I always buy the brown eggs, and my mother in law won't eat them, and buys her own white eggs...

I don't notice any difference in taste.
