I do daycare and I have two 2 year olds (boy and girl) whom are potty training. I have completley forgotten how to pottytrain! I keep trying and trying and they wont go. I cant sit in the bathroom allll day (there are others to attend to). Bribery doesnt work with them because I dont think they understand. I am trying to make it fun...but again, nuthins happening! They do however like the idea of sitting there so thats a start. One of the kids...the boy, has an older brother and mom said I could use him BUT he stands....

Okay, ask the parents if they are really serious and if they are, ask them to bring underwear and not pull ups. They need to bring a lot of changes of clothes as well. Then, take the children every half hour. Use a sticker chart instead of bribery. Everytime they go or sit on the potty, they get a sticker. They are only two so it will take awhile, but I believe that the underwear thing is the best technique, as long as you don't mind cleaning up the mess! It also needs to be consistent. If the parents are not doing it at home as well, it just won't work. That is why it is very important to ask the parents if they are serious about this as well. Lots of luck to you and I think it's great you are willing to work with the children on this!! Kudos to you, lots of daycare workers won't even attempt or are not allowed.

Sorry but I think potty training is the parent's responsibility. If they've asked for your help, ask them about their method and reinforce that. Introducing your own method is likely to confuse them and hinder their progress.

that is not your job, most day cares rules are trained or untrained but if you are willing to take it on that's nice I'm not going to recommend anything because you must treat each child how there parents are doing it, they need consistency, that is why i think it's taking on a lot,
