If there isn't there should be. Most County Schools have programs to help kids before they are of the age to attend school. Healthy Start, Early Start, etc. They even help families get to much needed doctor appointments, even help them to locate them.

Cheryl is an awesome lady, very much cares about kids, not just the program. You may contact her and I'm sure she will point you in the right direction.

If you are not in her district her secretary can direct you as well. She's just as nice and helpful as any person you'll ever meet.

Just tell them that their retired Certified Braille Transcriber directed you to them.

You might also check with the Federation For Children With Special Needs. They may be able to direct you to some place closer to your home.

Best of luck to you and your child.

I have a little girl with Rett Syndrome it is under the autism spectrum. There are many places that you can find help. If you or them are of school age; call your local school for programs. Your local public assistance office should be able to give you names of places that can help. There are foundations that will fence in your yard. put in special doors, ramps, windows ect. If you just need to talk; I'm here and we can connect via internet. You could get in home therapy and community based programs via your social service agency in your town. If not let me know and I will see how I can help. I know how hard it is to find help.
