ok, so radiant red and brilliant brunette shampoos both have names starting with the letter of their color. however sheer blonde doesn't, implying the "dumb blonde" stereotype
i don't think this is coincidence, since there are plenty of words they could have called their "blonde shampoo"

It doesn't imply anything of the sort, I will explain the theory they used to name them.

Radiant, Brilliant and Sheer, are all very similar in meaning, they all can mean something that shines, and gives out a certain look.

A lot of blondes go out an buy these 'glamour' shampoos to make their hair more shiny, and vibrant, but if john frieda were "implying" that blondes are dumb, do you not think this would of been boycotted or noticed a long time ago. These are not new products and the advertising campaign has been going on for a long time.

I can tell from the question that you must be blonde. Thats a business intuition as it can be taken from how offended you seem to be by john frieda not rhyming the blondes products.

The fact is they had already used up the word beginning with B on the Brilliant Brunette range, Sheer Blonde implies nothing but shiny blonde hair.

...or maybe he was agreeing with the stereotype and/or insinuating that blonde's have more fun and figured that specific hair color was in a class of it's own and needed no hype or introduction like radiant red or brilliant brunette...
