I was just outside playing and i was running back when i ran over a nail sticking out of a board.I pulled my shoes and socks off and ran in.Blood only came out once and it wasn't but a drop or two. Then i cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and made sure there wasn't any dirt on it.I can pretty much walk on it now but i'm worried that i might get an infection or something from the rusty nail even though i'm up to date with my technis shots. And help would be great thanks.

How up to date are you on your tetnus shot?? Basically all you can do is clean the wound and keep it clean. Get your self some neosporin or something to help ward off infection. If the area starts to look infected, red, itchy or swollen, go to your health care center. If it has been more than 7 years since your last tetnus shot, you should go get another one.

The tetanus shot is to protect you from tetanus, not infection. You can get an infection. Put clean some topical antibiotic on the wound twice per day.

You should get it checked out. Better safe than sorry, right? I was up to date, but got a scratch for a nail and they made me get a shot anyway.
