This is already the third account I'm using on Y!A. One was terminated, one was nearly terminated.
I'm an atheist, and a respectful one. For some reason a little group of Christians has a love for the report abuse button. How do I know it's Christians? They told me. They are even proud of that.
I'm not whining here, because I simply don't care. I do have a few questions though:
Do you realize that with reporting me, and having my questions deleted, you take away the opportunity to enlighten me about your God? According to your Bible it is your duty to do so.
Do you also realise that with doing this, you actually violate your Hole Book? God tells you to tell me His word. If not, you sin and you will burn in Hell. Forever and ever and ever. Mind you, this is not a threat, this is a friendly loving warning. But you know that, you warn people every day.
(This will probably be my last question, since I got a final warning. See ya on a new account)

That is absolutely absurd, but often the way of Yahoo Answers and religious folks who choose to remain so ignorant that they are terrified to hear they might be wrong. I believe Yahoo Answers should check deeply into these claims rather than just deleting accounts according to reports filed. Then again, the Yahoo Answers forum are the same unlikely people who allow us to say "************" online but not "f**k".
Markyyy, PLEASE don't leave without sending me your new account name! I wouldn't realize who I was giving credit to and that would be a travesty. Know that we hellbound folk love you.

I thought that this was a forum for people to speak their mind. I feel that as long as you are being respectful you should be able to say whatever you want. As a Christian, I'm not going to shove the Gospel down your throat. I'm not going to hate you because you don't think like me. This world would be a boring place if we are all the same. I can tell you what God's Word says and it's up to you if you want to believe. Whether you believe or not I'll still love and respect you because that it what the Word says to do. I have a problems with Christians that don't allow people to be them. God hates the sin folks not the sinner. If we are judgmental and condemning people why would anyone want to be a part of the religion? It's all about love folks. That's how you reach people... through love, patience, understanding and not putting people down for what they believe. I've never read your questions before. If you truly were being respectful then I'm sorry you were reported. Maybe some of what I said will upset my fellow Christians...but you know what? I don't have to worry about pleasing them or getting their approval. As long as God and I are cool it's all good.
Be Blessed

That is so sad! I hope you let your friends know who you're going to be. I'll NEVER understand why people do this. It's gotten so I'm staying away from sections I really enjoyed. Is it truly possible people get PLEASURE or FUN out of messing up somebody's account? This has gotten totally out of hand. There are two categories I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole because of a stalker. I wonder if the warnings explained "how" you violated the guidelines? I find myself censoring everything I say. I'm really sorry!

The whole point of the reporting system is to prevent abuse of users. This is part of Yahoo's duty of care. But iff they allow the reporting system to be used to perpetrate abuse, they are failing in that duty.
For what it's worth, I think your questions and answers are some of the smartest, most considered and respectful on the whole site. I'd be disappointed if you got deleted and didn't return again....
.... "Hole Book"??? Are you channeling Tragic Typos?

I've seen and read questions/answers from atheists on this site. I differ with what they say sometimes. Other time I do not. I have never reported anyone for anything. Who is responsible for your questions? did you read and understand the rules when you signed up? or is this all a conspiracy against you? I am not belittling you, I would like to know.

It is truly sad that so many so called Christians are afraid of intelligent discussion concerning their faith.
It is through this discourse that we all have an opportunity to learn.
As a Christian preacher, writer and Evangelist I enjoy the opportunity to answer questions and share the Love, grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.
But as a Christian I must also allow that not all are going to agree with me. That's their right.
more will be accomplished with respect and compassion than with hateful words and actions.

It's one thing to thumb down an inappropriate answer, but report it? I think that should be reserved only to porn or genuine obsenity. People should NOT be reported simply for disagreeing.
I, myself was reported jusr last week. The questioner didn;t like my answer. It was scary to get that notice. I was suddenly aware of the risk we take by participating here.

I agree too. I am a christian, but I respect everyone's opinion. The only time I pressed the abuse button was to report somebody who was talking about child molestation as a joke.

It's crazy that you get banned for simply stating your opinion. This board is for all different points of view. If some people can't tolerate views that differ from their own on a board, perhaps they need to go elsewhere. If they can't stand to have their beliefs challenged, perhaps their beliefs aren't very strong. As someone else said, no one has a right not to be offended.
