it depends on how much you generally use the grill, and for what foods (more so over others) Figuere that out, and determine based on maximum heat absorption...whatever suits your fancy.

we adore to grill and achieve this all year long and in Ontario, it extremely is a feat! My suited grill guidance are: a million- whilst making selfmade BBQ sauce I constantly upload liquid smoke. available in Mesquite or Hickory, it provides only the spectacular touch. 2- constantly cook dinner hen over oblique warmth. After heating the BBQ, have one part on severe warmth and one on low warmth. place the hen on the low part on the proper rack and enable or no longer it rather is- do no longer be flipping it each and every couple of minutes! This prevents the charred on the outdoors, no longer extremely finished on the interior subject! 3- For selfmade burgers (that are a might desire to!) once you're blending up the beef, alongside with the customary additions (bread crumbs, egg etc....) i like to function salsa and the end result's an fairly tasty burger! 4- do no longer be afraid to branch out! Pizza on the grill is astounding! Grill some hen and set aside. Pat the pizza dough right into a pan and proper with BBQ sauce. decrease the hen into skinny strips and proper the pizza with your known cheese, hen, purple pepper strips and purple onion. place pan on proper rack and grill with the lid down until ultimately the crust is finished. Makes an fairly tasty and unique meal on the grill!

We've had excellent results with Weber grills over the years, charcoal and gas. If you're looking for portability for tailgating, etc. we've also gotten great results from our Weber Q.
Also, for grilling times and cookout planning we use the cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com. Just enter the items that you will be grilling and the time you want to eat and it gives you printable instructions for how to grill steaks, chicken breasts, pork chops, etc. It also has grilling tips.
The most versatile grill we've owned has been the Weber Performer. It's a classic 22" charcoal kettle grill that uses gas to start the fire. It comes with charcoal baskets for indirect grilling (smoking, etc.) and I received the rotissere for Father's Day. Many a great cookout created with it.

BBQ Grill.... Gas or Charcoal?
For $1000, you can get three grills... a gas, a charcoal kettle grill and a charcoal smoker. You can't have too many grills!
For the smoker, I recommend a Weber Smoky Mountain. ($250). Great for ribs, pulled pork and brisket.
For a kettle grill, again a Weber 22.5" Charcoal Grill ($150) - great for steaks, burgers and tri-tip.
That leaves $600 for a Gas grill.

If you're talkin a grill that you use charcoal briquets in then you can get a nice Weber or Char-Broil for less than half the money, & cook up some goooood food w/a real BBQ taste..
If you're lookin for a gas grill....Save your money, & cook inside......

Well its depends if you want a gas grill or just a firewood grill. If the second one it your choice. I know a guy down here in South Texas that makes the best grills....

Vermont Castings - I've owned Webers and these are better. And a beautiful porcelain blue. We got one last summer at Home Depot for $399. A friend of mine has had hers for years, so I also know they last.
