ok their is this boy i fancy he goes to my youth club, and we never tlk to each other but my mate said she spoke to him and that he said he was going to ask me out, now when i got there his mate said to me oh you know its never meant to be between you two and he said in front of the boy i fancy and then the boy started smiling, then his mate said why dont you just talk to him, his mate keeps on trying to get me to talk to him and he is bothering me about it and it is only that particular boy. also this boy i fancy is shy around i think and he knows i like him but he didnt tell me to my face his mate told me that we are never meant, to be do you think i should move on or do you think the boy i fancy, fancies me back. or what does his mate want and why does his mate keep on botherig me. by the way im to shy to speak to the boy i fancy so we just avoid each other.

Tricky, why not just forget about being shy, it is difficult, and ask the boy you like out to go and do something, that friends would just do, and see how that goes, maybe after your youth group. Sounds like his friend could be mixing things up for his own amusement or he fancies you as well. Think of some witty retorts to things he normally says and use them when he says them in front of others. You don't get if you don't ask. Good luck.

Maybe his mate is in love with him and wants you to stop liking him (if it's a girl) The dude might not like you because if he knows that you like him he would tell you he likes you too or he might just be shy but who knows? Good Luck!

You won't know unless you talk with him. If you are to shy to talk with him face to face, try sending him a letter. Maybe that way, you could express how you feel, but still be safe behind paper.. or a computer if you communicate that way.
If you trust one of your friends, have her be the go between for you. Either way, you need to talk with him. It sounds like neither one of you are going to make the first move. So, you won't know if his friend is right when he said that you 2 weren't meant to be.. maybe that is true, if you are both to shy to talk with one another.
