Apparently is advisable not to drink holy water or let it get near cuts or wounds... especially holy water from fonts as it has a lot of bacteria from human faeces, presumably from peoples unwashed hands...Eew!

In Islam, earth is considered clean. You can clean yourself before prayer with it, so I guess It could, but it wouldn't be holy water anymore. It would have to be holy mud.

Just blessed mud, mein alte. Spiritually clean (if it had been sinful soil to start with), but still just wet dirt.
