That's a good question and I've wondered the same thing. It's like someone asking a question about American history but not allowing quotes or what is written in American history books in the answer. How much sense does that make?

People are dismay when we turn to the bible as the only reliable source of information because they have allow themselves to be blinded by the God of this system. 2 Cor. 4:4 " the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news might not shine through."
The bible is a practical book. It reflects a keen understanding of human nature. Psalm 119:105 reads; "Your word is a lamp to my foot and al light to my roadway.

um, because there's like 100 christian subcults (protestants, catholics, baptists, god knows what else) that all vehemently disagree on what the stuff in the bible actually means.
Also, the only thing that speaks of god are the christians and the only place they can get their information from the bible that talks of god. Outside of that, no trace of god. It's not exactly a solid base of evidence.

You haven't convinced us that (1) God exists, and (2) the Bible is a reliable source of information.
Without those 2 premises, you cannot assure us that you're correct; the best you can do is tell us what your religion says about God.

Just maybe we would like to hear what you really think! Not just the written words quoted from a book. But then, I don't ask questions about God.

Because the bible isn't a credible source of information.
Circular reasoning is the only thing that validates what the bible says.

Many people have investigated the development of the bible and are convinced that it's as far from God's word as my butt hairs are from learning the Russian language.

God is not in anything, everything is in God. Anyone that thinks God can only be found in one place has a very limited God. Think on these things.

Good question.
It's like when they say, okay I'll debate religion with you, but leave out the Bible!
LOL! :)

Because then you get back to the question of "what reason do we have to believe that the Bible is accurate?"
