After you dial a long number it asks you to do that, why and does anyone know what to dial?

Because if you are out of the US, you have to dial "01", our country code, the area code, and the phone number in order for the call to go through. 1 is the country code for the US.

dial 1 then the area code like our is 317 then the the number so its 1-234-567-8910 for example its because if your dialing a number overseas then you have to dial 0 before the number but if its anywhere within the country you have to dial a 1

cuz deh number 1 is usa's country code
