Me and my ex were together for four months. We were each others first loves. He went on vacation for two weeks and when he came back he told me half of him still loves me but half just wanted to be friends. So I said fine, I just want him to be happy, so we broke up. Even though he said we would be friends he no longer talks or looks at me. It's been two months since we broke up now. We have mutual friends and a class together. It's hard because I will be standing right next to him and it's like I don't exsist. I'm not going to ditch our friends, and neither is he. I use to try and talk to him, not about anything big, just nice small talk, but he seemed annoyed that I was doing so. I use to wave, say hello, but nothing. Now I've just started ignoring him back, he obviously wants nothing to do with me but are things always going to be like this?

It may always be like that or it could be that he has some unresolved feelings about the relationship/break-up and you being nice is making him uncomfortable. The best thing to do is just back off a while, don't be rude, but don't go out of your way to speak, wave or anything either unless he does first. He may just need some time and space. If this is the case then he will start talking again once things are sorted in his head, if this isn't the case then he was just trying to be nice when he broke up with you.

People only say they still want to be friends bcause they want you to feel that they still care about you so they dont hurt your feelings. He probably is seeing someone else so he feels awkward around you. Maybe after some time passes you can at least be civil with each other, just so things will be easier if you see each other around.

They proboly will be this way for a while. Obviously he needs his time and space. Eventually he'll come around. Just dont be in his face.
I was in the same situation but I found out the guy I liked was a dork afterward and I hate him now.

Short answer: Probably.

Long Answer: Yes, until he acts like an adult and realizes that he doesn't have to be a brat about the breakup. Let him brood and ignore him until he matures a bit more.

probably.not too be to upfront. but, maybe he seems annoyed because you're not talking to him about the fact that you guys are being awkward. or maybe theres a hidden reason hes not talking to you. at this point since you're not talking anyway talking to him about it wouldnt risking anything, if you can get him to.good luck!

I guess he really wanted to break up with you without hurting your feelings...probably it is going to be like that.

It certainly seems that way and you are probably better off without him.
