i dont want to leave her... i love her... i am over it, i can come to terms with her having sex with other men, i can live with getting arrested over this, I just don't want her to LEAVE me. I can't believe I hit her... I can't live with myself, I want to die.

You will not find any justification for what you have done (no matter how bad she f#cked up), so don't try to excuse yourself...
Deal with the consequences of not thinking before you acted and learn from it... Anger is not an excuse for violence... NOTHING IS.
And well, if you want to be with her, you'll need to want to live first. Dying won't solve anything, and you'll die as the man who was cheated on, hit his girlfriend and then wasn't strong enough to deal with his mistakes and took the easy way out...
Now, to be fair: Can you trust her again? Can you trust yourself not to let anger blind you, ever? Do you believe she regrets what she did? If she doesn't, trust me there's no point on this. All your regret and your love, disappointment, motivation or good intentions WILL NOT change anything... The same way you can't go back in time, you can't make a relationship work on your own... specially after it has gotten this bad. And for the record: I'M SORRY is not enough!

As wrong as she was, unfortunately, you have cross the line. Now, you are at the mercy of the law and whatever they decide to do. I don't really know what you can do, besides stand up and take this s**t like a man. I know sometimes we want to, but we can't and I mean can't, hit women. Sorry, dude!!
As for the second part. What are you talking about? What do mean you can live with fact she cheated on you? Take whatever punishment you get, but leave this b***h alone. She obviously doesn't care about you. Have some self respect, man!! S**t is only going to get worse. She doesn't respect you and you don't respect yourself. Stay with her and you're f**ked!!!

Its her word against yours. I suggest you lay low and not say anything until you are asked, BY the police. If she's pressing charges, get an attorney. Otherwise wait it out until something happens. If they question you make sure the police know that you only hit her once, and that it wasn't intentional. She doesn't have huge bruises and the like so they'll know it was a one time deal. You aren't going to be with her anymore, so its not as if you're going to hunt her down and kick the crap out of her. If she wants to put a restraining order on you, let her. Get your stuff and NEVER see her again.
Other note: You need to keep your anger in check. Aggravated Assault can get you in alot of trouble, so can spousal abuse.

You will probably get arrested. They don't care that she slept with someone else. Legally that is not a crime. Hitting her was and is a crime. If it is your first offense they will probably make you take a short anger management class. Your gf might put a restraining order on you. I hope you're not dumb enough to go back with her. She can't be trusted to be faithful and hey dood....there's STDs out there now that can kill ya!

Get out this relationship, let her screw however she wants. It does not sound like a healthy relationship, there is lots of fish in the ocean. Looks like she is a sexaholic, maybe it has happened before and you just did not catch her.

i doubt u will get any serious time if any at all. accident or not the skank can exaggerate all she wants, they don't care what the truth is after that. good you shoulda made it damn worth it then. she deserved it, dont fight for her forgiveness or to say sorry or to get her back, the hoe deserves nothing and if she is disgusting enough to do that in your bed then she can f-off and take her dirty **** with her! you dont need that and dont live a life with regret and stay with her either. tell the police that. and she can,t say it was abuse because it was one incident. abuse takes place over a period of time. she can say it was assault though.
