Torah is the 5 books of Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus, Deuteronomy). Talmud is the interpretation of the Torah and how it can be applied to everyday life written by rabbis around the first century CE. Most Jewish laws are actually from the Talmud. Torah is far older.
Why only for Jews?

The Torah is the first five books of the Bible, whereas the Talmud is more of a "user guide" that is a record of rabbinic discussions pertaining to Jewish law, ethics, customs and history. The Torah is more ancient because it was written first and came directly from G-d.

Torah is what you understand as the writings of Moses...Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy.
Talmud is an expansion of those writings; how to practically apply them in everyday life.
Talmud is absolutely more important, but many Jews feel differently.
Torah is older.
