It's just as dangerous as when she'd do it any other time. If her body temperature gets too high, then that might pose a problem to the baby. I'd recommend not tanning until she's had the baby just to be on the safe side.

It's perfectly safe, but the pigments in your skin are increased during pregnancy and she may have a "pregnancy mask" after prolonged exposure to the UV B rays of the sun. I would suggest that she wear an SPF30 sunblock on her face and neck to avoid this, and watch for splotchy skin while in the sun and shortly thereafter. I know about pregnancy mask because I got it while pregnant and tanning. It goes away eventually (my daughter was about 6 or 7 months when mine vanished).

Yes she is fine to get some sun just no tanning beds or long hours baking away in the sun-it's not too good for anyone.

It's alright to tan in the sun. Just protect your skin and keep hydrated.

Well, since she is pregnant, she shouldn't be in the sun long. She should definelty wear a high sunscreen so she does not burn. When you are pregnant your skin may become more sensitive causing you to burn easily.

well i honestly don't know what she could do about that other then i don't hink it's going to hurt the baby...but it is crucial that she dosn't over tan.....could do the body harm....just little by little...i would suggest the all natural sun....take her to the beach or somewhere fun she might enjoy.....GOOD LUCK!!! be safe....hope everything works out with you, your daughter, and your grandchild....may God be with you.

Unless her body temp goes over 37 degrees celcius she is fine to do it. That's as hot as I was allowed to be in the shower/bath whilst having my son before they made me get out and cool down.

Just as long as she's not out very long I don't see the harm in it. Also, no tanning beds.

Skin cancer: not likely to happen, so it's okay
DNA mutation: if occurs, will only occur at skin cells and will not affect the baby

Heat: not sure

Some sunlight helps you absorb calcium better, which is beneficial.

It is just as dangerous as it was when she wasn't pregnant - risk of skin cancer, wrinkles, etc.

But seriously, no harm to the baby.
