My daughter is suppose to be leaving with me to the UK on March 29th but her passport hasn't arrived yet. It has been 7 weeks so far and they are now saying it won't be here until April 2nd. Than they tell me I can pay for it to be expedited but no guarantee it will be here within 10 days. Has anyone else having a problem getting there passport in time for their trip?

I would pay to expedite. They are very behind in processing passports. Call back get some one else and explain you are leaving on March 29th. Pay only if they can guarantee the passport arrives in time. Also have it sent overnight express mail. Some people are waiting 10/12 weeks.

Good Luck

Did you put a date for travel on your daughters passport application? They will note this if you did. If not, go into the passport office to advise them of your travel date and pay the expedite fee. I just went through this recently when getting my husbands passport. (we were going to Vegas to get married) you will also have the option to pick it up from the office or by mail. (I don't trust the mail system to much so picked his up) it was there in a week. Good luck and have a great trip!

I've been trying to call for the past 2 days to see if I need to expedite mine even though the online status says it will arrive on or before April 3 and I'm leaving April 10 for Mexico. I can't get through. I would contact your local congressman. I've heard it helps.
