I seem to be addicted to candy--I want it all the time, and I have tried going cold turkey, but my cravings win out in the end. I really want to stop eating it because it is making me gain weight, and ruining my skin...can you please suggest some tips?

Thank You :)

Your best bet is still cold turkey. When you crave candy, eat a carrot stick, or other small, healthy snack. Fruit is sweet, so it may help with the sweet tooth. Drink a small glass water when a craving hits. This is often helpful. You likely have a psychological addiction to the sweets, so it is best to fill that time with a healthier activity. The water, fruit/veggies, or sugar-free gum will help with the oral craving.

Also, it will help with your quitting if you don't completely deprive yourself of sweets. As a reward, say for going 2 days w/o candy, allow yourself a candy bar. Just don't buy a whole bag. Best of luck.

I have the same issue, and found the best approach for me is a dual strategy: steering clear of temptation, while enjoying in moderation. You know supermarkets devote entire aisles to the candy of the coming holiday, so avoid them! The long walk around the store will do you good; the perimeter has the vegetables, grains and meats you should fill up on. Likewise, avoid the racks of candy in convenience stores. On the moderation bit, make sure candy is not the first item you eat when hungry; make it a treat after the meal is done. You'll crave less, eat less, and savor it more.

look the only thing you could do everytime you feel like to eat candy grab a apples or orange any other things that can satisfy you and eat it. but find something that's sweet not candy and you will stop after a while. what happen was your body needs something sweet to eat. if you do that you'll see some changes soon. but it's gonna take you sometimes to stop. but if you go to hospitals they 're gonna give you all kind of medicine, because the doctors they 're all about money not wanted to help people for real.

Hmm...I just can't understand people who's addicted to sweets since I don't like sweets much. I'm just not super big fan of it.

I'd say, put something bitter or something disgusting on every sweets you have at home such as vinegar. Ask someone to make sure that you don't eat it or buy anymore.

That's all I can think of right now...

Take care and I hope things will get better for you. Good luck!

It easy. All u have to do is find someting active to do instead of being a couch potato. I do it most of the time afterschool!
I do these things:
ride a bike
run around the neighborhood
have my sisters chase me around the backyard
play tag(good for running)
run up & down the stairs 4 15 min.
run around the kitchen table for 10 min.
and the most impotant one of all:
DONT BUY CANDY!!

Well you may just need a lot of sugar naturally, the real question you ask yourself is if you exersise, if you do then chocolate doesn't hurt at all. I exersise a lot and need the sugar so I eat it. By the way are you ready for summer, see you at the beach.

I love chocolate and I could eat it every day. Try substituting with some fancy dips and veggies that are good for you or find some sugar free snacks maybe.
