Can you tell the difference between a real message from God delivered in a dream and figments of your subconscious imagination?

If there is nothing in Christianity that suggests you should convert to Islam - and there isn't - then God was not the source of your dream. You best stick with Christianity.

When I was younger and more naive, I was convinced God spoke to me in a dream one time. Without going into too much detail, I learned a very hard and painful lesson. Now I know that no matter how powerful it seemed at the time, the dream was wrong, even though I was 100% absolutely positively dead-on sure it was not simply a dream. As much as we'd like to believe otherwise, dreams are just dreams. Don't make a life-changing decision based on one just because it's especially vivid and emotional.

People in their Hundreds are conveting to Islam everyday, intelligent , educated wealhty people, people from all walks of life, you got to read the Koran and reserach about Islam to understand, If u had a dream about converting to Islam then why not? converting to Islam is actualyl a good thing, Islam promotes peace, tolerance, gives more respect to women they anything, Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) liberated women and gave them equal rights, some of the answers you will get here will eb arrogant, ignorant, racist, these people are weak minded and live in ignorant in believing this life is eternal, thse people dont know about Islam but just go by the baised media and propanganda, just becasue a Muslim person does bad does not mean Islam is bad or islam's fault, i also had dreams about converting to Islam and i have done and i can tell you its the happiest i have been, i have peace believing there is higher power and trying my best to do good deeds and keep me going, Islam has never been changed , the Koran has never been changed, im not telling you to convert but if you have these dreams then i can assue you its a good thing, ive never been happier and at peace in my life, i got lot of things going for me, if you follow and believe God will guide you straight andf give you happiness in this life and after life, you have nothign to lose so go for it.

A question has been answered today where the concensus was that you are not responsible for what you dream and that it is therefore not a sin to have lust in a dream.

If you extend the logic, then you should conclude that you cannot trust an image of god in a dream either. It would not matter whether it is in line with scripture or personal preferences or anything - it is simply a dream and nothing else.

The only way that you can know if God is telling you to do anything is to get confirmation. Ask a pastor or member of leadership in your church (someone with authority in your current religion)

Personally, I am a born again Christian and I do not believe that God would tell you to stop believing in Him. I don't believe that was God in your dream. But that's just me.

I agree with those who say that you have to balance dreams/visions with what is in the word of God. It is also good to just remind yourself about the differences between Islam and Christianity. The main difference is that if you join Islam, you will be required to 'work' your way to heaven by following the Koran. In Christianity, you cannot get to heaven by being good because you can never reach perfection, so you rely on the sacrifice of Jesus in your place. In Christianity it is your response to Christs love for you in saving you that makes you want to serve... It is for you to decide whether God would tell you to try to work your way to be with Him when He has provided the perfect sacrifice through love for you. Up to you...

I dont beleive in God, but look at it this way

You do what "god" says in this dream and convert to Islam because you want to be a good christian and have true faith in what he has to say.

In the next dream "God" suggests you commit suicide and leave behind your family and friends. Leaving them to greive after your selfish act of blind faith.

Would you do that?

This is why i dont beleive in "God" or religion in any way shape or form.

It's full of flaws and inaccuracies

The Bible could just be as fictional as Harry Potter for all you know.

Without proof of his existence, blind faith just isnt enough!

i doesn't believe it replaced into God. everybody who tries to operate onto the Bible is a pretend prophet led with assistance from devil, no longer God. If he instructed me to write down a e book, i'd first pray about it, then seem up in scriptures even if it lined up with what He has already suggested. After praying about it some more advantageous, then certain... i'd write a e book. yet no longer yet another testomony or an addition to the Bible.

Remember, voices in the head do not suggest psychosis, or mental disorder. They are simply invisible supernatural deities wishing to talk inside your brain, this is not delusion. David Icke and many other perfectly sane people listen to voices in their heads, but ignore medical advice. God told me to become an Atheist, as we are the only ones who know he is a delusion.
