I have been assigned an idependent research project for my AP United States history class. There aren't really any restrictions. I can research any event in U.S. history and then I have to present it in a unique way. Any ideas of what I should do?

It depends on what you are interested in. I am interested in both the Great Depression and the War years, especially how people participated on the home front. How did the war effect the people at home, particularly, someone in high school such as yourself. My mom graduated, for instance, in 1943. Her class was the only one in the history of the school, which is over a hundred years now, that didn't have a senior prom because of the blackouts and because most of the guys you'd want to take to your prom were at war.

Her French class went into the city to one of the hotels where French soldiers were for some reason. They practiced their French. A few years later when she and some friends went to France for vacation, the porter on her train remembered her from that.

Perhaps other activities that you take for granted would have been greatly effected by the war, like driving or "hanging out." Things like that.

I recommend following the James Burke format, of "Connections", via making connections from key factors interior the form, popularization, and geographic dispersal of the dish, to different cultural, agricultural, and kinfolk/international political events/people. top as much as the time, and on the time it became more advantageous, what different innovations, concepts, and events happened? How might desire to a minimum of one or the different be correct or furnish perception into the different? As progression/develop happened, are there different parallels that are comparable in progression interior a similar or distinctive time sessions? Explicitly or implicitly ask questions and answer them for the time of. As Burke might recommend, no experience is remoted. There are possible un-correct components that lead as much because it and spring from it. Innovation infrequently (if ever) happens in a vacuum and is the manufactured from collaboration between colleagues, unknowns, and people that are available in the previous us. right it is an occasion of a possible un-correct connection: Chase long island economic business enterprise and the 90s rock band Tesla. The band became named after the engineer Nikola Tesla, who became financially based (ultimately ruined) via John Pierpont Morgan, who ultimately based Chase long island economic business enterprise. this basic occasion does not have a large style of intervening time connections, yet with somewhat examine, links might desire to be made in numerous instructions to distinctive events and people for the time of history.
