If in UK, it's very easy.
Either do it with a legal man and a commissioner for oaths... and pay huge costs, or, do it yourself by deed poll, you can buy the documents online...
But better still, use the common law method it's just a standard form of declaration... which you have witnessed twice, and you can be whoever you want to be. It wont cost a penny this way.
You can choose to register the change or not, a legal team usually registers it for you.
Remember though, you'll need to send copies to everyone you deal with and your bank and licences... and that this change will be reflected back on your credit reference file by your bank etc.
As long as you have no illegal intentions when you change your name (fraud etc) it is perfectly legal to call yourself by any name you choose under common law.
I've done it after two divorces, with legal help and without.

You can change your name just by telling people that you want to be known by a new name. But for anything legal like a driving licence you'll need a statutory declaration or a deed poll.

Yes, I have changed mine. You need to find an office of the title deed for the declaration. What country are you???
Different country has different type of office.
Good Luck!!!
