Okay, my mom always says I'm too young to date by myself! I'm 16, and most kids my age have been on plenty on plenty of dates without a parent! She's always telling me how close I am to being an adult and how I need to started acting like one, but yet she treats me like I'm still in the 7th grade! I find it hard to bring this up around her because she always gets mad about it and says that she isn't changing her mind. What can I say or do to convince her that I'm ready to date ALONE?? <3

Show her you're responsible. Do well in school. Don't talk on the phone all the time. Don't be on the computer all the time. Help out around the house. Maybe if you show her you're becoming an adult, she'll start treating you like one.

Would she be okay with double dating, you two and two other friends? And does she know the boy very well? Sometimes, you have to have him to come over for dinner or to just hange out and that way mom gets to know and like him and then she will feel that he is safe for you to go out with. (Unless, of course, he gives her a bad impression)

by going on a few with the same person and show and you behave and then hope your mom apporves of the person....

and as long as your good it doesnt truly matter if there is a chaperone or not

it the time with the person that truly matters
