For anyone who has been to UC Santa Barbara, how is the campus?

And the people, environment, etc.? I just got in and am going to visit soon but I want to know what other people think :]

I lived in LA in 1974~1975 and my best friend went to UC Santa Barbara. I hated LA and lived for the weekends when I could go up to Santa Barbara. The campus is (was) stunning, the people friendly. Check out their website and take the virtual tour. Still looks good to me!
